On January 8th Foothills United Way’s Association of Agency Executives (AAE) held a successful forum on collaboration for Boulder County nonprofits at the Imagine! Conference Center. This unique event was attended by over 50 nonprofit staff and board members. Nonprofit agencies were invited to learn strategies and best practices for building partnerships and collaborative processes.
The morning kicked off with several presentations over breakfast and concluded with a panel discussion facilitated by Dennis Lewis, President & CEO Dental Aid. The panelists included Frank Alexander, Boulder County Department of Housing & Human Services, Robin Bohannan, Boulder County Department of Community Services, Karen Rahn, City of Boulder Department of Human Services, Dr. Danielle Varda, University of Colorado-Denver, School of Public Affairs, Bobbi Watson, Early Childhood Council of Boulder County, Chris Wiant, Caring for Colorado and Doug Yeiser, Foothills United Way.

Through collaboration, and I believe only through collaboration, we have a chance to move the community toward improved well-being. Health, education, housing, food all combine to make one well and they all must combine to make a community better,” concluded Dennis Lewis, Dental Aid.
