Day of Caring 2012 Sets a Volunteer Record

You are here

Over the last 19 years, Foothills United Way's Day of Caring has grown into the largest annual one-day volunteer effort in Boulder and Broomfield Counties. And this year Day of Caring set a record, with nearly 1,200 volunteers rolling up their sleeves across the community to landscape, paint, harvest, build, refurbish, and much more.

In all, the volunteers completed 50 projects for local nonprofits and other organizations, putting in 4,772 volunteer hours. That equates to $105,127 worth of volunteer time put into the community on this one day alone.
