Allocations
Foothills United Way raises funds in Boulder and Broomfield Counties and identifies, prioritizes, and manages the distribution of those donations to meet the community's diverse human service needs as effectively as possible.
In addition to raising funds, Foothills United Way utilizes committees of local volunteers to assess the changing needs in our communities, set standards for receiving funds and continually monitor the use and effectiveness of those funds.
Currently Foothills United Way is operating on a three-year funding cycle. In February 2008, approximately 40 volunteers began reviewing human service needs, reviewing applications for funding for 2009-2011 and making crucial funding decisions. Volunteers serve on four Allocations Panels, one for each of Foothills United Way's Impact Areas, or particular areas of defined and demonstrated community need.
