Thank you for making a difference in our community!

Foothills United Way Collects Record Number of Books for the Business Reads Program in Boulder County

Foothills United Way (FHUW) sponsored a Book Drive in Boulder County for the Business Reads Program through Executives Partnering to Invest in Children (EPIC). Thanks to our close partnership with Boulder Rotary Roots (BRR), book collection boxes were set-up at 50 businesses and organizations.

Over 10,000 books were collected, setting a new record! Roots volunteers, FHUW staff and community volunteers sorted through all of the books and organized them by age group and language, preparing them for distribution throughout Boulder County.

Head Start of Boulder County, I Have a Dream Boulder, Escuela Bilingue Pioneer (Lafayette), Casa de la Esperanza (Longmont) and Boulder Housing Partners are just a few of the community organizations that have begun to distribute the books to over 2,000 children and families in Boulder County.
